Alexandra (Ali) Gunnells
Alexandra (Ali) Gunnells (she/her/hers) is a student in the MSIS/MA in Information Studies and English program at the University of Texas – Austin. In addition to her studies, Ali is a writing consultant at the University Writing Center and an assistant instructor in the Department of Rhetoric & Writing, where she teaches courses on introductory rhetoric and the rhetoric of true crime. She previously earned a bachelor’s degree in English and women’s and gender studies from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in the humanities from the University of Chicago. Prior to enrolling at UT-Austin, Ali was an assistant professor of English at National Louis University. Her current research interests include rhetorics of space and place, archival theory, and digital humanities. Ali is currently working on a project that explores rhetorical constructions of the archive in podcast storytelling.
